Many congratulations to all the MPs who are returning to the House of Commons and a special congratulations to all our new MPs.
The Conservative victory last Thursday was not just a landslide win: it marked the beginning of the transformation of our political landscape and our country. In the past few years, the people of the UK have comprehensively rejected the idea that a little far off elite should rule over their lives. This election proves the most popular idea today is to take back control, responsibly spend more on public services and relate to the whole world as one coherent United Kingdom. Let's now hope for a rational debate about our shared future.
A huge well done to all of those that stood this election. It is a great achievement to represent your party and community, and CF Afghanistan will be here to support you as your journey continues. And thank you to all of you that made a donation to individual candidates, knocked doors, delivered leaflets and telephone canvassed to ensure a decisive Conservative victory.
